Today we worked on taking the 6 quotes from yesterday and expanding on them as well as attaching them to an emotion or theme. Due tomorrow is explaining what the quote means and what emotion it relates to. Students had 15 minutes to work on this in class...most got a good start.
Example: “Never before had anyone dared to love the daughter of the king!” This shows that the act of dating the king’s daughter was a crime. And in doing so, the man tempted fate. It showed that he loved the princess so much, that he was willing to risk his life.

Students need to have 6 pieces for evidence from the short story "The Lady or the Tiger?" that supports their argument if the man lives or dies. They had 30+ minutes to work on this in class. If they did not finish this, they need to make sure they get it done at home since it is due tomorrow. Here is a link to the story.. HERE.
